Distance education courses are conducted online and offer many advantages, and most of the courses can be applied directly to your University of Guelph degree.

Current students - you can find the complete and most accurate list of the courses offered in Summer 2026 on WebAdvisor starting February 18.
Prospective students - to view Summer 2026 courses, visit WebAdvisor's Course Catalog starting February 18. A login is not required.
With the Subject Search, you can select a subject and then use the filters on the left side to narrow down your search, including by semester. Alternatively, you can use the Advanced Search to specify the semester in advance and to search for specific courses. For additional help with searching for courses and registering on WebAdvisor, watch the video tutorials and read the FAQs on the Student Planning website.
Distance Education Courses: On WebAdvisor, courses with "DE" in the course code (e.g., ACCT*2230*DE01) are Distance Education courses.

Taking summer courses and want to live on campus? Apply for summer residence!
The 2026 Summer Residence application is now available through the Housing Portal.
The residence fee for the full summer semester varies from $2,500 - $3,000 based on location and room type.

Off-Campus Housing in Guelph
If living in the city of Guelph is for you, check out the many summer sublet listings. The University's Rental Living webpage is a good place to start. From there, you can search for available housing through their Online Listings link.
Financial Aid
OSAP

Bursaries
Bursaries are awarded based on financial need and are available to students receiving full-time OSAP (students taking a minimum of 1.5 credits, or 1.0 credits for students registered with Student Accessibility Services).
To apply for a bursary, submit a Financial Need Assessment Form.
If you are on part-time OSAP, taking 1.25 credits or less, you do not qualify for a bursary.
Work Study
Students can apply for part-time employment through the Work Study Program at the University of Guelph.
There are a number of positions offered during the summer semester. Students must be registered for 1.5 credits or more to apply.
