GO Transit Application

Getting your GO Transit student fare discount has never been easier! Just visit the GO Transit Student ID website and fill out an online application request form for an electronic GO Transit Student ID. Eligibility is restricted to undergraduate or graduate students enrolled and registered in a full-time course/program.

To learn more about student fares, please visit the GO Transit GOing to School page.

Apply Online

  1. Visit the GO Transit Student ID website.
  2. Complete the GO Transit Student ID online application process.
  3. Have your PRESTO card set to the post-secondary student fare concession by a GO station attendant or GO ticket agency.

Getting your GO Transit Student ID

Upon approval, you will receive an email with your GO Transit Student ID. You can download it right to your phone, or print a copy to keep in your wallet. Either option will be accepted by GO Transit Safety Staff.

If you are not eligible for a GO Transit Student ID, you will receive an email detailing the reason for the decline.

Be sure to have your GO Transit Student ID + PRESTO Card available when travelling on the GO Transit system while using a student discounted fare – don’t get caught without it during a ticket check!
