The Ontario Agri-Food Innovation Alliance combines University of Guelph expertise in designing and managing research facilities with long-term investment from Agricultural Research and Innovation Ontario (ARIO) and the Government of Ontario to deliver an unparalleled agri-food innovation platform.
The Alliance links the University of Guelph’s research and laboratory sites with ARIO's cross-province network of research centres. This connection helps deliver cutting-edge, farm-tested innovations to Ontario’s farmers and agri-food businesses.
A team of specialized, dedicated staff ensures the smooth operation of these complex research environments, both on-campus and across the province. The Ontario Beef Research Centre in Elora opened in 2019 as a state-of-the-art platform for discovery, learning and outreach to advance Ontario’s beef industry.
Dedicated staff manage farm operations and facilitate the research that will grow the agri-food sector.
