How Much Will It Cost?

Estimated annual expenses range from $25,159 to $35,832 CAD. Here's the breakdown:

How We Make It Easier

Talk to a financial counsellor about arranging a payment plan. When you arrive in Guelph, call 519-824-4120 Ext. 58715 to schedule an appointment.

Billing and payment are done at the start of each semester instead of having to pay the entire amount all at once at the beginning of the school year.

Bursaries range from $500 - $50,000. Students with demonstrated financial need are encouraged to learn more about the many bursaries available:

Complete the Financial Need Assessment Form for Entrance Awards by April 15, 2026. An offer of admission is not required to complete the application.

In the 2024-25 school year, 7,870 students received $21.96 million CAD in awards, including $10.8 million CAD in need-based awards!

There are many opportunities to make money while you are at the University of Guelph. Here are some options:

More than 4,000 on-campus jobs are available on a competitive basis. Work in one of the many campus eateries, in the athletics centre, or any of the retail locations on campus. There are many jobs available throughout the city, too. Guelph is big enough to offer lots of opportunities and small enough to get around easily! We know that part-time work is an important part of subsidizing the cost of your education.

Our Work Study program creates part-time employment on campus for hundreds of students who have financial need. International students may apply for Work Study funding in their 2nd year of university.
