Conditional Offers of Admission

Offer Conditions

Any offer of admission that a Canadian high school student receives from the University of Guelph is conditional, and all conditions must be fulfilled by July 16, 2027.

Offer Conditions for Ontario High School Applicants

• Completion of the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), or equivalent.
• Completion of six Grade 12 4U/4M courses, including required subjects, or equivalent. You can review specific subject requirements by program using our admission requirements filter.
• A minimum final admission average as outlined in your offer of admission.
• Proof of English Proficiency (if requested).

Offer Conditions for Applicants within Canada, outside of Ontario

• Completion of your high school diploma, or equivalent.
• Completion of specific subject requirements at the Grade 12 academic level, or equivalent. You can review specific subject requirements by province and program using our admission requirements filter.
• A minimum final admission average as outlined in your offer of admission.
• Proof of English Proficiency (if requested).

Submitting Final Grades

Ontario High School Applicants

If you’re currently enroled in an Ontario high school and are under 21 years old, your school will submit grades and confirmation of graduation to the OUAC on your behalf. We encourage you to log in to your OUAC account and make sure your grades are listed correctly. If you notice anything missing or incorrect, contact your guidance counsellor.

• Note: if you’ve graduated from an Ontario high school and are not currently enrolled in high school courses, you must request an official transcript through OUAC or your schoolboard. This transcript must include all final grades and confirmation of graduation, and should be sent directly to Admission Services at applicant@uoguelph.ca.

Canadian High School Applicants Outside of Ontario

Your official, final transcript must be submitted by your issuing school or your provincial Ministry of Education to Admission Services at applicant@uoguelph.ca or by mail. Documents submitted by the applicant themselves are considered unofficial.

• Note: If you are currently enroled in a British Columbia high school, we will automatically receive grade data from the OUAC on an ongoing basis if you provide your BC Personal Education Number (PEN) in your OUAC application and authorize the Ministry to release your academic record to the OUAC through the Student Transcript Service (STS). Official transcripts can also be emailed directly from your school to Admission Services at applicant@uoguelph.ca.
• CEGEP applicants (Quebec): Your results will be sent automatically via the OUAC if your Quebec CÉGEP code is present on your application. If not, your final transcript must be submitted by your CÉGEP directly to Admission Services.
