Make Your First Week at U of G Unforgettable

Orientation Week is a week you don't want to miss!

Whether you’re living off-campus or in residence, your Orientation Week will kick off with community socials, dinner, and the opening welcome hosted by Student Experience & Student Affairs.

Orientation Week (O-Week) 2026 will take place from Friday, September 4 to Saturday, September 12. You can learn more in the START Guide (login required).

Orientation Week only occurs in the Fall semester. Undergraduate students starting in the Winter semester attend Snow Days Orientation.

Orientation Week Events

Throughout Orientation Week there will be over 250 events run by student clubs and departments across campus. Events include everything from small close-knit socials to the large Pep Rally. With so many campus members involved in running events in O-Week we promise you’ll find events that will help you meet other Gryphons, get involved with something that interests you, and learn more about your program.

O-Week events are posted on GryphLife.ca and the I Am A Gryphon App.
