Lang MRE program at a glance:

Program Length: 3 semesters (12 months) for full-time students; up to 6 semesters (24 months) for part-time students.

Program Start Date: Every September

MRE Admission Requirements

To be considered for admission to the Master of Real Estate program, applicants must:

Be qualified graduates of a four-year honour’s undergraduate degree from a recognized university (minimum B- average) or equivalent; and

Have a minimum of two years of work experience that is relevant to the real estate industry, as evaluated by the admissions committee. Applicants must clearly demonstrate the relevance of their work experience in the statement of intent, resume and referee assessments submitted with their application.

Applicants should ensure that at least one of their references is provided by an academic referee

(e.g., a university professor) and at least one is provided by a professional referee (e.g., a supervisor)

in order to speak to applicant’s academic and professional competencies, respectively.

All applicants must meet the University of Guelph’s English Language Proficiency requirements for admission. If an applicant’s first language is not English, or their undergraduate degree was not taught at an English-language institution, an English Language Proficiency test will be required.

Tuition Cost and Program Fees

The cost of the Lang Master of Real Estate program is $38,000 (domestic), and $45,000 (international).

Scholarships may be available to assist with tuition. Please contact us to learn if you are eligible.

Tuition and fees are billed by Student Financial Services with a program fee model (tuition is billed and paid via a set schedule as opposed to being billed by course). Program fees are billed over each semester, and include compulsory and program fees, tuition and in-course learning resources (not including required textbook costs).

This program is not eligible for Provincial student aid (OSAP) and as a professional graduate program, no funding is offered to students enrolled. Students are expected to self-fund the total cost of their program.

An application fee of $150 CAD is payable to the Ontario University Application Centre (OUAC) directly when submitting your application. This application fee cannot be waived.
