AACSB International accreditation represents the highest standard of achievement for business schools, worldwide. Institutions that earn accreditation confirm their commitment to quality and continuous improvement through a rigorous and comprehensive peer review. AACSB International accreditation is the hallmark of excellence in management education. Only 6% of business schools from around the world achieve AACSB accreditation.

The accounting program (BComm major + Graduate Diploma in Accounting) is accredited by CPA Ontario, which provides students with the academic requirements for the CPA Professional Education Program (CPA PEP).

All accredited students are required to take the Common Final Examination (CFE) and carry out the practical experience requirements as indicated by CPA.

The Lang School of Business and Economics is a signatory member and Champion of the United Nations Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME). PRME aims to raise the profile of sustainability and responsible management in schools around the world, and equips today's business students with the understanding and ability to deliver change tomorrow.

Working through Six Principles, PRME engages business and management schools to ensure they provide future leaders with the skills needed to balance economic and sustainability goals, while drawing attention to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and aligning academic institutions with the work of the UN Global Compact.

The Globally Responsible Leadership Initiative exists to catalyze the development of globally responsible leadership and practice in organizations and societies worldwide. It was co-founded by EFMD and UN Global Compact and in Strategic Partnership with EFMD and AACSB International.

The University of Guelph's Lang School of Business and Economics is a member of the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD), is a global, non-profit, membership-driven organisation dedicated to management development. It is recognised globally as an accreditation body for business schools, business school programmes, and corporate universities. EFMD is a network for schools and companies that aim to develop socially responsible leaders and managers looking for opportunities to connect. Alongside our emphasis on educational standards for management education, we firmly believe in bringing companies and academic institutions together and work towards facilitating and strengthening exchanges between the two.
