Collaborate with the University of Guelph on research.
With a core mission to Improve Life through robust research and a vibrant student experience, the College of Computational, Mathematical, and Physical Sciences spans traditional and emerging themes in computing, mathematical sciences and physical sciences.
From renowned individuals who are at the pinnacle of their fields to institutional notoriety for varying research areas, many organizations choose to partner with the University of Guelph to advance their research and development. We are also home to world-class research institutes, facilities and centres that convene leading scientists to advance solutions to key issues facing our world.
Our research projects range from multi-million dollar partnerships to in-kind, grassroots-style community research and everything in between. A few recent examples include:
- TD Bank Group committed $1 million for researchers affiliated with U of G’s Centre for Advancing Responsible and Ethical Artificial Intelligence to launch AI training modules.
- A mathematics professor is working with public health on initiatives to track and predict infectious disease spread, such as the flu and measles.
- Dr. Ed McBean developed a study together with the Credit Valley Conservation Authority to predict the future impact of cyanobacteria on an urban lake.
- A vaccine developed at U of G by Dr. Mario Monteiro was licensed by Matrivax, a Boston-based biotech company focused on human vaccine development.
Our research team can help you navigate research partnerships and university processes, with support from our Office of Research and Research Innovation Office. Contact Dr. Bethany Davidson-Eng to get started.
