Hear From a Turfgrass Management Student

I can confidently say that enrolling in the DTM program was one of the best decisions I've made. This program not only equipped me with the necessary knowledge and skills to excel in the industry but also provided me with a solid opening into the professional world through the Co-op opportunity.

I enjoy being taught by professors that worked in the industry prior to teaching. They bring a lot of knowledge and experience to the program. I find it’s a very hands-on, discussion-based and inclusive program.

The Diploma in Turfgrass Management program at the University of Guelph has been exceptional, shaping my professional journey and enriching my life with invaluable experiences. Thanks to its hands-on approach and extensive networking opportunities, I secured a management position in the turfgrass industry immediately upon graduation. I'm profoundly grateful for the program's guidance and support in shaping me into a capable and esteemed professional.

This program has prepared me really well for a career in this industry. I think the variability both in class and out of class is really well reflective of the kind of experiences that you get once you're actually in the field doing the work.

The small class sizes are by far my favourite part. My class is a tight-knit group already, and we get to know our instructors well. The program also blends in hands-on learning coupled with turfgrass management theories, so we understand both sides.

The instructors and students have been fantastic to work with. They're all very passionate about your learning and they guide you in the right direction.
