Food Science Student - Krupa Thakkar

Drawn to food science from watching Food Factory at age 12, Krupa Thakkar landed at the University of Guelph as her top choice for post-secondary education.

“It’s one of the best universities for food science in the world,” she says, adding that internships and co-op opportunities provided her with insights into the food development process as well as a chance to interact with clients.

Choose Your Program:

Food + Economics + Policy | Deal with emerging issues in our food system using economic theory, law and trade. Food, Agriculture and Resource Economics is a major of the Bachelor of Arts.

Food + Business | Become a business leader who understands food supply chains and global markets. Food and Agricultural Business is a major of the Bachelor of Commerce.

Food + Science | Use chemistry, physics and microbiology to create healthy, interesting and safe food. Food Science is a major of the Bachelor of Science.
